Subscriber Management Guide
Manage your changelog subscribers, control category preferences, set delivery schedules, send email notifications, and track subscriber engagement. Build and maintain your subscriber base effectively.
Viewing Subscribers
To view your subscriber list:
- Go to Settings > Subscribers
- View the list of all subscribers with their email addresses
- See subscription dates, status, delivery schedule, and category preferences
- Monitor your subscriber count against your plan limit
Subscriber Information
For each subscriber, you can see:
- Email - The subscriber's email address
- Subscribed - When they subscribed (relative time)
- Status - Active or Unsubscribed
- Delivery - Immediate emails, weekly digest, or monthly digest, depending on the plan
- Categories - "All Categories" or the number of specific categories they're subscribed to
Managing Subscriber Status
You have several options for managing each subscriber:
- Unsubscribe - Click the bell-slash icon to stop notifications (subscriber remains in list)
- Re-subscribe - Click the bell icon to restore notifications for an unsubscribed user
- Delete - Click the trash icon to permanently remove a subscriber
Category Preferences
Subscribers can choose which changelog categories they want to receive notifications for. As an admin, you can view and edit these preferences.
Viewing Preferences
The "Categories" column shows each subscriber's preference:
- All Categories - Subscriber receives all updates, including any new categories you create
- X categories - Subscriber only receives notifications for specific categories they've selected
Editing Individual Preferences
- Click the tags icon next to a subscriber
- In the modal, toggle "All categories" or select specific categories
- On paid plans and active trials, choose immediate emails, weekly digest, or monthly digest
- Click "Save Changes"
Bulk Category Operations
To add or remove a category from multiple subscribers at once:
- Use the "Bulk Category Operations" section
- Select a category from the dropdown
- Click "Add to All" or "Remove from All"
- Confirm the action
Note: Bulk operations only affect subscribers with custom category preferences, not those with "All categories" selected.

Delivery Frequency and Digests
Free changelogs send subscriber emails immediately when matching entries are published. Paid plans and active trials can also offer weekly or monthly subscriber digests.
- Immediate - Send a matching update as soon as it is published
- Weekly digest - Send a weekly summary of matching entries with links to each changelog entry
- Monthly digest - Send a monthly summary of matching entries with links to each changelog entry
Admins can update an individual subscriber's delivery frequency from the subscriber preferences modal. Subscribers can also change the same setting later from the "Manage preferences" link in any email. If a changelog is on the free plan, digest preferences are not available and subscribers use immediate delivery.
Subscriber Limits
Your subscriber limit depends on your plan:
- Free Plan - Up to 50 subscribers with immediate update emails
- Premium Plan - Up to 1,000 subscribers with immediate, weekly digest, or monthly digest delivery
The subscribers page shows your current count, limit, and a progress bar. You'll see warnings when approaching or exceeding your limit.
Email Notifications Toggle
You can enable or disable the email subscription feature entirely:
- Use the toggle switch at the top of the Subscribers page
- When disabled, the subscription form won't appear on your changelog
- Existing subscribers are not affected
